Alaina Lancaster

Principal

Alaina Lancaster, Principal

As principal of the Hopkins County Career & Technology Center I bring with me a deep passion for Career and Technical Education (CTE). With 15 years of experience supporting students through hands-on learning and real-world learning opportunities,  I am committed to helping every student discover a pathway to success. I am a three-time graduate of Murray State University. I began my career as an agriculture teacher, where I saw how powerful CTE can be in transforming students’ futures. I am also a proud wife and mother. My husband Kyle and I live on a farm, and we are raising three children—Claire, Evie, and Reid—who keep us both busy and inspired.

Lauren Wood, Counselor

With over 11 years of experience in education, I bring a strong foundation of learning and counseling expertise to my role. I hold a Bachelor's degree from KWC, a Master's in School Counseling, and an EdS in Mental Health Counseling, both from Murray State University. My professional journey is complemented by my role as a supportive wife to Stephen Wood, who serves as a Science Teacher and football coach at JMMS. As a devoted mother, I take pride in my sons, Kipten, a 6th grader at JMMS, and Casen, a 4th grader at WBES. At home, I care for our family dog, Trip. In my leisure time, I enjoy cheering on my boys in their sports activities, engaging in volunteer work, and going to Disney World.
